Update:
It's been a little while since I've updated my blog for you...but for good reason, today I'm here to do just that.  Twisted has been beyond busy with clients, shows, contests and PHOTOSHOOTS! The past few months have been quite eventful.

A little while ago, Twisted attended the Lullaby Divas "Big Tyme" Japan Relief Fund...it was a BLAST! I met some wonderful people there, and ran into a few others I've had the pleasure of getting to know over the past few months, by meeting at shows. It was such a wonderful experience.  The best part was watching the "Zumba Hotties" Carol Szuky, Tabitha Irwin and Debbie Apolinario shake what their momma's gave'em leading others into a extremely fun-filled, electric, high-energy fitness routine.  My two daugthers had accompanied me to this fundraiser and also took place in the Zumba fun-ness :) With the help of so many wonderful, generous vendors and people who attended the show...the fundraiser was a great success and managed to raise $1025.00 to put towards the Japan Relief Fund :)

Opportunites Knocking!:
As of lately, Twisted has been invited on a few occasions to collaborate with other great businesses, for photoshoot opportunites.  I've been so humbled by the number of requests to take part and work along side so many wonderful people and highly reputible services...to name a few, LM Photography (Photographer: Mike Mendelson), DME Imaging (Photographer: Cory Clements), Andrea Martin Photography (Photographer: Andrea Martin), Your Place Or Mine (Make up Artist: Amanda Ferri), Custom Creations By Ashley (Ashley De Sousa), are all such wonderful people to deal with, a few of whom I've had a great pleasure of getting to know personally.

In The Works:
Twisted will be working with Amanda Ferri of Your Place Or Mine and Mike Mendelson of LM Photography to put together a colorful portfolio for Twisted, as well as creating a new Twisted Logo.  This has been something I've been trying to find the time to do for the past few months, but with everything else that's had my hands tired ...I've only now recently decided to buckle down and get this photoshoot taken care of.  So within the next few weeks, be expecting to see some wonderful talents updated on the website along with the Facebook Page I have set up for your convience and pleasure :)  I must say, I'm SO anxious and excited about this shoot...it's been a long time coming.  I'm truely excited and relieved that I've found the models needed for this shoot without any real issues or hardships.  With the help of a close connection (Drew Mendelson) I've easily found what I'm looking for in beauty, hair and character for the models I was hoping to work with.  I look forward to meeting each of the six girls in the very near future and can't hardly wait to work with everyone for the Twisted photoshoot.

The Best Part!
Now...with all that being said, I bet you're all anxious and curious as to what I've considered doing to celebrate the 100th "Like" on my Facebook page??!!  Well...here goes!

Twisted!

Well with two shows under my belt now, and more to come in the very near future...I can finally say that it's really nice getting out.  I've had so many great opportunites meeting such wonderful people in the past few weeks, and it's amazing all the wonderful products that are available to you and I ...right here...in our beautiful little town.  I can't help but feel honored to be among all these wonderful people in business, standing next to them at the shows, sharing tables and stories of how we each got started on our own personal adventures.
It's been a little while since I've managed to muster up enough time to leave anything new on here, but thankfully today I decided to sneak away from everything else just to let you all know how well Twisted is doing these days.

I'm so anxious for the warmer weather to finally get here, warmer weather = more girls wanting their hair up in braids :)

Keep checking back here to follow my progress and check the Shows tab too to see where/when you can find Twisted througout the next couple of months...

Stay Twisted!

Absolutely! It may have seemed like a long and dreadful winter, especially for those that are enduring the (hopefully) last blast of snow we're being hit with today but rest assured, spring is in the air and soon that nice green grass will start to sprout.  The buds on the trees will bloom and the sping season flowers will reach up through the soil and stretch up towards to sping sun.

Until then, why not take some family time this weekend, and bring the gang out to the Tony Rose Arena, located in Orangeville.  This Satruday from 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm there will be an abundance of vendors lined up for you to take advantage of their fantastic services and products.  This will be Twisteds first show of many! I am absolutely excited to be part of the growing comminuty of repuitible businesses and mompreneures.  This is the first Annual Skate Canda Craft show ~

Not only will you be able to enjoy the plentiful services and products available to you and your family at the craft show, but you can also catch the amazing 52 Annual Skate Carnival too.  The first show will start around 1:30 pm and the second show will be at 7:00 pm.  There will be roughly 150 skaters, aged 3 - 17 so come on out and show your support this weekend.

Twisted will be on site at the craft show, providing a service of braided styles for ONLY $5.00

Hope to see you there :)

Well the weekend, and March Break have officially started, and off to a good start too.  I recieved my cards in the mail yesterday...finished the basics to have this webpage up and running for you.  My hubby came home from being out of town on business a day early.  Kids are healthy.  Managed to attend dance class last night.  Also managed to get a lot of the things I'm going to need to attend my first show - materials and supplies - so that I'm well prepared for the Orangeville Skate Canada Show/Carnival on March 26th.  My album is basically full and ready for presentation, my supply kit is loaded and ready to go...the only thing left to complete really is my display board.  So I'm off to a good start :) I've also got word today that  the local Church we were hoping to have our wedding ceremony at, has confirmed that the date has been officially set and our request has been granted.  I'm really getting anxious for the "Big Day" now that a lot of the "major" details are taken care of...

On another note, as wondeful as things have been here with me, I can't help but stop every once in a while and think of all the madness going on in the news.  Mostly in regards to the quake that hit Japan.  I can't even imagine what all those people are going through, but I do wish them all a quick recovery from this horrible act of nature.
What about that hockey story?  It's absolutely amazing how a professional athlete can get away with such gruesome acts without real punishment...
I will NOT even waste my time on Charlie Sheen...don't get me wrong, I'm probably one of the few people that actually like the guy...but with ALL the coverage that guy's getting these days...there's no point in even going on about him here too.  :)

Well I'm off to finish up a few things for the night...hope you all have the most wonderful weekend...I know we will :)

Stay Twisted!

Welcome to my web page...I'm truely excited and happy to have this opportunity to take my love of creating beautiful braids to a whole new level in my life.  As you may have read in the brief discription of me on the home page, I've been passionate about braids for 20+ years - I never imagined that I'd be where I am today doing what I love and enjoy so much.  Braiding has always been a passion of mine, and over the past four years alone I have found myself swarmed with counltess ideas now that I have my own little girl - I call her my life size doll :)

Twisted is only about a year old - with the support of a very close friend of mine, I was encouraged to take my passion to a level where I can offer it as a service to the general public in my area...I wouldn't be here telling you all this without the help and support of my dear friend Steph and the encouragement of my loving husband, along with the countless hours of dedication and co-operation of my beautiful daugther Cadence.

I look forward and welcome the many possibilites Twisted will take me in the future...this is going to be SO MUCH FUN! :)
